All I can say is... "Wow".

This came into Living Waters today:

"My kids came home with their bags or halloween treats and as I was separating the good from the bad I found two candies glued to your brochures trying to sell my kids your bulls*&# religion. You piece of f^%#(*% child molesting trash pushing god as a way to molest kids is illegal you should be hunted down and shot like a terrorist."

I wonder what church he goes to?

I'll bet that he ate his kids' candy. ; )

I gave out Tomb-stone tracts last night along with Starbursts and Pixy-Stix. One boy (about 9 or 10 yrs old) asked me, "What is an I.Q. test?"

Another Dawkinsite, probably.

How about this silly religion? The universe made itself by chance from nothing. You are a product of chance, time and mutations, O child of slime. There is no purpose to your existence. When you die, you will go into the ground. There is no afterlife.

It seems that this "message of hope" (under the pretense of "reality") would lead to quite a few suicides. It seems quite fitting to refer to the materialistic message as child abuse.

I'll pray for him.

And phew, we didn't tape any candies to tracts, ours were in baggies ;)

Just shows me that the conscience was quite possibly pricked to the point that they looked it up and called/wrote you guys. maybe they stumbled across Hell's Best Kept Secret while searching for the contact info. haha...Here's praying!

So very sad. That person definitely needs much prayer. (perhaps an intervention!)

I printed tracts for my mom (a future-believer) to pass out. After reading it to her :)

I am sure glad that I didn't run into any of that kind of guy when I handed out tracts and candy AND 180 DVDs (with my email address on a posted note) - phew! That one definitely needs prayer!

I wonder what he is like when he disciplines his kids?

Cue Elton John,

"Can You Feel The Love Tonight...."

"and you will be hated by all for my name’s sake. But the one who endures to the end will be saved."

Matthew 10:22 (ESV)

"Rejoice and be glad, for your reward is great in heaven, for so they persecuted the prophets who were before you."

Matthew 5:12

To the person handing out the tract and to all the Living Waters staff, thank you for persevering through a lot of "murder in the heart." Love you guys, Trish!

"(a future-believer)" I like that. Who knows but what that man may also be a "future believer."

After the collection is all done on that great and terrible day, Jesus will be separating the good from the bad, as well. I pray by that time, this person will have been brought to the good cuz he sure don't wanna be in the bad.

Since you failed to mention selection, you are lying by omission.

This blog keeps giving me warnings which look like they come from php.

Your non sequitur is noted.

Your non sequitur is noted.

Thanks for the laugh. I've still yet to see you correctly identify even a single logical fallacy.

"...you failed to mention selection..."

SELECTION, which is only an event covered under the umbrella of determinism, anyway (along with "cognitive processes" etc.)

There you go. I've supplied what Bob left out. Doesn't look to me like it's inclusion really makes any difference, though.

Do you think that if you removed the selection part of a genetic algorithm, it would give the same results? I really hope you don't actually think this.

LOL!!!

The thing that doesn't change by the inclusion or exclusion of the word "selection" is Stormbringer's point.

Wassamotta, Rad, ol' friend? You're not having a "Roseanne Roseannadanna" moment, are you? ; )

Take care,

Craig

Stormbringer's point.

what would that be exactly?

If you missed it, I don't think it would do any good explaining. But I seriously doubt that you missed it. You are pretty sharp, and you don't miss much.
