On air with Wretched Radio Yesterday

I found Hala coming out of a Dollar General Store.

I introduced myself and after some small talk I asked, "Would you like to be on a Christian Radio program to talk about your faith?" "Sure." She kindly responded. "What religion are you?" I inquired. "I am a Muslim". She said.

After she got off the phone we pretty much had to agree to disagree. She told me that she was a different type of Muslim. "I believe that as long as you have God or believe in a god than you are fine...and I also don't believe that Jesus had to die on the cross." She explained.

We shared with Hala that the bible documents that Jesus did have to go to the cross and die but that He is alive today - he has risen from the dead. We continued to share all of the good news and we gave her invites to Sovereign Joy and tracts. She invited us over to our home. Oh and did I mention that it's always nice to have Emilio witnessing with me (he's really good at talking with Muslims - I learn a lot from him).

Meet Chris. He was on Hour 2 of Wretched Radio.

Chris laughs with Todd on air. Todd's a very funny guy.

Chris said that he was a Christian but when I asked him, "Chris, say I was a Muslim...why would I want to switch to your Christian religion?"

"I don't know." He answered honestly as he shrugged his shoulders.

"I think that as long as you have a god than you'll be fine" He continued.

Chris also shared that he was going through a separation and that he had two small kids (this broke my heart).

I wish I could zoom in on this picture (below) of Chris's eyes. He really looks like he's understanding what Todd is saying.

After Chris got of the air he was very grateful and wanted to listen to more of what Emilio and I had to say. We invited him to church to talk more and we hope that he'll take us up on the offer. As he walked away he said, "Thank you for doing this today."

Meet the Pastor of Hamas Founders Son

At the end of January of this year I featured a 6 part series from the Fox News Special “Escape from Hamas”--the interview of Mosab Hassan Yousef, the son of one of the Hamas founders, who converted to Christianity after he was handed a Bible in Israel. Emilio and I watched the 6 part series and were glued...so I wanted you to see it too. We rejoiced that Mosab became a Christian. I contacted him to say how blessed we were about his profession of Christ....and some exciting things happened. If you remember, I said that I would "be sharing more with you in the days to come". I ended up emailing Mosab's pastor (Matt Smith) the very same day and he called me with in minutes of my email. We set up a meeting and this video is the result of that meeting. After you watch the video, if there are any questions that you would like to ask Pastor Matt...please post them and I will send them to pastor Matt and have his response posted on my blog.

Hamas Founder's Son Escapes from Terrorist Organization...plus an exciting announcement!

Sit tight and watch the Fox News Special “Escape from Hamas”. It features an interview with Mosab Hassan Yousef, the son of one of the Hamas founders, who converted to Christianity after a Christian tourist to Israel gave him a Bible. The first time I saw these videos both Emilio and I watched the 6 part series and were glued. We rejoiced that Mosab became a Christian and I wanted to contact him to say how blessed we were about his profession of Christ. So I did and some exciting things happened. Islam Exposed--The Video!

Look at Zabi's dedication to Islam...

Islam Exposed...

We met Zabi right away, he was studying for college and writing away like crazy--all his books and papers were everywhere. When we asked him what he was writing, he told us it was a book he was working on called, "Islam-Exposed". Although it sounded like an anti-Islamic thing, it was actually pro-Muslim. He used the title to try to get non-Muslims to read it.

He was a very nice young man and extremely eager to be on The Way of the Master Radio. As he was on the air, he began pacing back and forth--he was really into the conversation. After our follow up with Zabi, we discovered that he took his Muslim faith very serious. I guess I had a pretty good idea he was a devout Muslim from the outset--he wouldn't shake my hand because men aren't suppose to touch a woman like that, according to Zabi.

He was not always a Muslim, he had "tried" Christianity but ultimately ended up a Muslim. I probed him as to the reasons he had for rejecting the Bible and embracing Islam. Like most Muslims, Zabi claimed that the bible had been corrupted. I asked him how it was possible for "Allah" to allow his revelation to be corrupted by man, and what guarantee he had that Allah would not allow that to happen again.

He kept alluding to the fact that time was the necessary agent in the Bible's corruption. But when asked to give sources that objectively proved his assertion about the Bible's corruption, there was no reply. "If it does not agree with the Quran, which has never changed, then it is corrupted." He said.

But Emilio pointed out that Mormons could have a similar claim about the book of Mormon. In the end Zabi like all Muslims are hoping in their good works to save them when they die. Heaven and Hell are dependent upon how many good works one can do versus evil works. That left him with no assurance and as we suggested to him with no peace either.

The peace and assurance Muslims are striving for can only be found in the person and work of Jesus Christ, which we gladly shared with him.

Plus another car (not photographed) was filled with Ali's brother's
family who were listening to the local station as well.
They all got to hear the Gospel today!

The atmosphere after the segment was intense.
The group that had been with Ali was indignant
about the fact that according to them,
'he did not get to talk about his religion'.
But that was precisely what took place.
Ali spoke about his religion from the outset.

These Muslims were extremely upset and were
very intolerant towards what took place.
One in particular had some very choice words for me.
Apparently they thought the Todd and Ray should
have just listened while Ali did all the talking.
I responded kindly like the Proverbs advise...
"A soft answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger." (Prov 15:1)

As believers we know that the reality below the surface of all this,
is that the Devil did not want a homosexual Muslim and his whole family
to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ today!
