Meet the Pastor of Hamas Founders Son

At the end of January of this year I featured a 6 part series from the Fox News Special Escape from Hamas”--the interview of Mosab Hassan Yousef, the son of one of the Hamas founders, who converted to Christianity after he was handed a Bible in Israel. Emilio and I watched the 6 part series and were glued...so I wanted you to see it too. We rejoiced that Mosab became a Christian. I contacted him to say how blessed we were about his profession of Christ....and some exciting things happened. If you remember, I said that I would "be sharing more with you in the days to come". I ended up emailing Mosab's pastor (Matt Smith) the very same day and he called me with in minutes of my email. We set up a meeting and this video is the result of that meeting. After you watch the video, if there are any questions that you would like to ask Pastor Matt...please post them and I will send them to pastor Matt and have his response posted on my blog.

Pastor Matt, I have the green screen cloth coming to Joseph this week. How is he and how are you?

How are we progressing producing some video of Joseph?

I am back in the U.S.

Great stuff Trish. Thanks for sharing it. I plan on forwarding this to some friends of mine.

Also used your idea on more than one occasion while in line at a drive thru. In this case my local Taco Bell where I paid for the person behind me and gave a few Gospel tracts for them to read when they were informed their meal was taken care of already. Thanks for all your wisdom.

Take care and God bless,

In the six part series on FOX it mentioned Joseph was sleeping on the floor of a memeber's house. Does he or your church family need any financial support?

Hey Rev Dos, still working on training with the cameras and as soon as the book is finished we will be ready to put up some great videos- we are networking with some real high tech video guys for when that happens- the time line is looking like it will be after the book though so a few more months at least- you are an inspiration.

Daisyseeds,
Joseph is not sleeping on the floor at this time. Thank you for the offer of support. While i will never turn down support for the church, we are a year old, Joseph is doing fine and we are plugging along in step with the Lord and no one is starving. Pray for many to come to Christ and grow into disciple-making disciples.

hi "fwt"
about " Mosab Hassan Yousef " ,his name shows that he is the son of " Hassan Yousef" , he was one of hamas leaders in west bank not " hamas founder"!! . hamas founder was ahmed yasine.
also there is important thing we have to know ,hamas isn't religous organization,it's liberation movment with islamic base. "the translation of its name :"the islamic resistance movment" .and their goal is ending the israeli occupation in
and even the case wat you talk about true ,it doesn't mean anything because everyone has the choice to select his faith. and i know one of hamas members in ramallah called yousef ,he was jewish and member in "shas" the israeli extremist movment. but noone talks about his convert to islam or mkes video about his story!
the conflict in palestine is political more than religional.

uh you seem to be mistaken- i am sorry you are upset but please do not misrepresent the facts sir. What is important for you at this time is why would he change - have you read the Bible- the Koran says that it is a Holy Book - were you to do so you may find that the Jesus of Islam is indeed not the Jesus of the Bible- praise God you are on this site- we love you and desire you to come to repentance and true forgiveness- if Allah is a perfect judge as Islam claims than he has no basis to forgive you and remain perfect- the God of the Bible does because of the cross (rom 3:23-26). recognize your lostness and turn to Jesus and He will give you eternal life. I will pray for you sir- feel free to call me my number is on my site-whoisbarabbas.com - and read your Bible and see for yourself:)

hi dear/sir
i am not upset i just tried to correct somthings, and i appreciate your kind style.
about jesuse ,in islam we respect jesus more than any other religion -but we don't consider him a god ,we consider him prphet with special rank, and also we respect his mother and there is full "surrah" i quraan carries her name.
my point: we shouldn't look for the conflict between the religions, we can let everyone to choose his religion and respect his choice.islam enquarge the dialogue between the religions so i thank you for your invitation and i am going to visit your site.
my regards

Dear Pastor Matt-
It was with great interest that I watched the special "Escape From Hamas", as I have been to Israel numerous times and have become more involved than average with the political situation there. After listening very carefully to Mosab's testimony, I had some concerns. There is an organization in Israel called "Sabeel" which has branches all over the world, and especially in our country, that is based on Palestinian Liberation Theology. This organization specializes in the covert planting of seeds of anti-Semitism. I saw some very concerning "red flags" when listening to Mosab and ended up writing a letter explaining my concerns, which I then sent to many close friends and relatives. One of those was a niece in Spokane, Washington, who has been in recent contact Trisha... which is how I found out about this blog, from which I could possibly converse with you. I would like to send you a copy of the letter I wrote so that you can tell me if my concerns are grounded or not. Also, I will be in San Diego for a week (from April 3rd to the 10th) and, other than that Saturday, Wednesday, and Tuesday afternoon, would be able to meet if you would prefer to talk about this in person. A good start would be to have you look at my letter first, then you could decide. I appreciate any time you are able to give me and will be keeping this greatly in prayer.

Thanks for the wonderful interview with Joseph's Pastor Matt. It is amazing what is happening in the Muslim world, isn't it???? May God continue to bring MANY into the Kingdom of God before the end. He is not willing that ANY should perish, but that ALL should come to repentance!!!!!
