A chat with a homosexual Muslim today on The Way of the Master Radio

If you didn't get to hear this segment please
listen and pray for this young man (Ali).
The hour starts at the 40 min. mark.

Ali listens to Ray Comfort (below).
Ali speaking his mind.Ali listens to Todd Friel.
This is what it looked like towards the end of the segment....
Watch this short 33 second clip.

The two photos below, are of myself and Ali's family
listening to The Way of the Master Radio via their car radio.

Plus another car (not photographed) was filled with Ali's brother's
family who were listening to the local station as well.
They all got to hear the Gospel today!

The atmosphere after the segment was intense.
The group that had been with Ali was indignant
about the fact that according to them,
'he did not get to talk about his religion'.
But that was precisely what took place.
Ali spoke about his religion from the outset.

These Muslims were extremely upset and were
very intolerant towards what took place.
One in particular had some very choice words for me.
Apparently they thought the Todd and Ray should
have just listened while Ali did all the talking.
I responded kindly like the Proverbs advise...
"A soft answer turns away wrath, But a harsh word stirs up anger." (Prov 15:1)

As believers we know that the reality below the surface of all this,
is that the Devil did not want a homosexual Muslim and his whole family
to hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ today!

I heard the conversation yesterday, and I was wondering how the post chat would go. Your one brave lady! You are a great example, if you can present the gospel to an angry group of muslims, then I surely can do the same with my friends and family. You keep up the good work and I'll keep praying for you and your group!

Wow!!! Praise God, that He has strenghtened you in these last days, to proclaim the good news of the gospel in a crooked and perverse generation. Mattthew 9 : 37-38 The harvest truly is plentiful, but the laborers are few; pray to the Lord of the harvest that He would send forth laborers! ... I am truly blessed to have you as my daughter inlaw. Keith

Trish, when you said that the one Muslim leader told you, "you should try this in a Muslim community and see what happens".....well, so is he saying that the Muslim religion isn't as peaceful as they claim?

Wow, Trish you were surrounded by a crowd of angry Muslims and lived to tell about it! Praise God for your courage to stand in the lion's den and proclaim the gospel via Ray and Todd. They get to preach and you get the fall out. Hmmm I wonder who will get more reward in heaven?
Bless you, you are an inspiration!

radio 1250 thanks for asking--not too sure what he was trying to imply...that's my guess...the way I said it was the way he said it but with more force...I didn't stick around long enough to ask find out the details. :-)

I am listening to the WOTM broadcast right this second. I say this over and over again and I am so very thankful for you, Trish, and Todd. Listening to you and Todd are always a blessing.

I had a roommate that was a Muslim and she clearly told me that as a Christian I am going to hell. Amazingly, we got along really well, but there was an undercurrent in her that obviously *hated* Christians.

You are SO right that its conviction. He really did not know what he believed enough to compare it to Christianity. Muslims are actually taught about Christianity. My friend told me that no one followed Jesus, and I told her that Jesus said that the road was narrow and few are those who find it. She had NO idea that the bible said that, so its pretty clear that what they are taught about Christianity is very selective.

I don't know if anyone else feels this, but I really feel like its heating up out there for Christians. I feel like there is more and more hatred toward Christians than ever.

Again, I thank God for you and Todd and the whole crew over there at WOTM. I will keep you in my prayers!

Wow! I had something similar happen last week, except not with Muslims, just some kids who weren't appreciative of what I was saying. I thought I was gonna get pummeled. I told some Christians about it and they couldn't understand what could be so offensive. It was a good opportunity to remind them that Christians have been crucified, beheaded, and burned for 2000 years for this message and we shouldn't expect any better treatment!

Glad it worked out for you Trish, stay safe out there! - Canyon

Oh, this guy doesn't just have a very likable voice he also looks incredibly handsome.
What a shame that I live several thousand miles from him.

Praise God for you, sister!

I heard the WOTM podcast on this today. I was thinking 'wow' too. lol Mercy..
Have you thought about taking a man with you while you do this on the streets?

God bless you and protect you Trish.

In my humble opinion this family looks more impatient than enraged or willing to harm anyone. Which is quite understandable given that they were just about to drive into their holidays.

How did the whole conversation go? And have you heard anything lately?
I have to admit, I never thought I would ever hear of a post-modern, homosexual,self-righteous, muslim. I think he may have really been convicted cause Ray never even had a chance to go through the law with him. He just explained to him what God's word says and this man was so angry. I pray that this man's heart really does a number on him and brings him to his knees and he comes to repentance and see's his sins as vertical (is that right) against God.

Hi shoots, I never heard anything back from Ali but thanks for asking and praying for him.

germanmike, thanks for taking the time to comment on my blog. I pray that God would open your eyes to the truth and that you would see your sin as utterly sinful in the sight of a holy and righteous God. I pray that you will come under great conviction and that the Bible will make perfect sense to you.

Just think about it, I know you have heard these things because you listen to The Way of the Master Radio but here it goes again...have you ever lied (even once--fibs, white lies, etc.)? Have you ever stolen (the value is irrelevant)? Jesus said, "Whoever looks upon a woman to lust after her, has committed adultery already with her in his heart." Have you ever looked with lust? If you have said "Yes" to these three questions (by your own admission), you are a lying, thieving, adulterer at heart; and we've only looked at three of the Ten Commandments.

Have you put God first in your life, or have you created a false god to suit yourself; a god you feel comfortable with? If God judges you by that standard will you be innocent or guilty on the Day of Judgment? You know that you will be guilty, and therefore end up in Hell. But WAIT! LISTEN. There's Good News! God Himself made a way for sinners to be forgiven. Jesus suffered and died on the cross to satisfy the Moral Law — You broke the Law, Jesus paid the fine!

"For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life." Then He rose from the dead, defeating death. That means that God can forgive you and grant you the gift of everlasting life. Today, here's what to do, confess your sins to God, repent (turn) from your sins, put your trust in Jesus to save you from eternal damnation, and you will pass from death to life. I pray that you will do this before it's too late and you meet the Lord face to face and have to give an account to Him for all that you have done in your body. Thank you for reading this germanmike.

Radio1250 stole my thunder. I thought his comments "you ought to try this in a Muslim country" were actually pretty funny.

I mean, seriously, I thought Islam was supposed to be the "religion of peace".

Glad you made out OK.

Trish,
I had the opportunity to witness to a group of twenty somethings this evening. I came close to "walking on by" but was so convicted to speak to them. You set such a great example. I had a great witness encounter and I would ask everyone to pray for RJ,Brad & Cody. They heard the Gospel tonight.

Please be careful out there! Take someone with you and continue to keep up the great work.

Keep me in your prayers as I am growing in my walk. I hope to open air preach soon. I have been in a Baptist Church for 44 years and was a false convert. WOTM was such a blessing. Once I understood my standing with God, I repented and put my Faith in Jesus. I am now his to do with as he pleases. Hope to see everyone at "Deeper" in Ga.

Your Brother in Christ
Tom

Just heard this again on a rerun. I remember the first run. Whew. I bet it was a little awkward standing there are the family started piling out of the truck.

I hope Ali didn't find out the hard way what Muslims believe about homosexuality. :-(

Fish With Trish said...

Cool. Glad they are playing the re-runs. That was a rough encounter for sure. But not as rough if I had been doing that in another country.

To any closeted LGBT folks out there:

There is nothing wrong with your sexuality, any shame you feel is just a cultural thing, you can let it go and be loved for who you are.

Just heard this on Wretched Radio 2014. "We're all right until you tell me I'm wrong, then you're wrong! ...Even though my religion condemns my homosexual actions, telling me I'm wrong! ...wait!?

Unsound circular reasoning. No amount of logic was helping. Good job at staying focused and being kind in hopes of the bigger picture of Ali and family getting saved.
