Lauren Scruggs, the young fashion model who lost her hand and was severely injured by walking into a plane propeller also lost her left eye as well. Surgeons removed it Tuesday. I've been praying for this dear young girl and her family.
Today her mom sent out a message saying, “We received a wonderful gift from someone who created a You Tube video for her. It blessed us so much and we wanted to share it with you.” Mrs. Scruggs

I found the video on this link to be very encouraging especially during this time of year when the trails of life seem to roll over us like large billows. Take heart, friends, and keep trusting in the Lord. He is worth it all. And this short life will be over soon. Speaking of how life is, yesterday Christopher Hitchens died at age 62. He was an Atheist and didn't believe in God. Please pray for his family and friends who are deeply mourning. And take the time to reflect on your own mortality. Where will you go when you die? If you haven't read it yet, take the time to read everything on this page: www.dontwasteyourdash.com

Quick note, the link is faulty. Your "a href" includes extra material before the real link. "Don't waste your dash", when done with just copy and paste, still works fine, though.
For the main part of your article, I am glad to see Christians trying to minister to Lauren.
Thanks so much. Should be fixed now. Blessings!
Witnessing idea for areas with many people: Take a survey asking how many people knew who Christopher Hitchens was. Not difficult to move into, "What do you think happens when you die?", and then into the evangelistic presentation.
God only does his will. Why do we pray to him to change that?
Good question, Calvin. Are you a Christian?
We never ask God to change His will our prayers are done in the hopes that we pray according to God's revealed will, and that perhaps we might also pray according to God's secret or decreed will. For example, we never pray that God would save the entire world since universalism is not part of God's revealed will (Mt. 7.13); but we do pray that God would open the eyes of specific people and categories of people since we have no idea who the elect are (1 Tim. 2.1-2; 2 Tim. 2.10).
This is why Jesus taught us to pray that God's will might be done, and the apostles taught us to pray according to God's will.
