This is coming off as creepy idol worship. It's a piece of wood designed to facilitate executions. It's not wonderful in any way, shape or form.
Even if one accepts the mythology of Christianity, the method in which Jesus died does not seem to be that vital in the grand scheme of things.
Most of my life I thought that the physical pain Jesus went through when He was beaten and crucified was the price He paid for sinners. What I did not understand was that Christ not only suffered physically, but He took the full cup of the wrath of God and drank every drop of it for all those who whould believe on Him.
The cross is wonderful, because it is exactly where my Saviour who was sinless took the wrath of God that should have been poured on me for my sins.
We don't worship the cross! We worship the Lord Jesus Christ Who hung on the cross and remember this is where the justice of God was satisfied for us!
The comment by Azou cements the following Scriptures:
1 Cor 1:18 For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.
2 Cor 2: 14 But the natural man does not receive the things of the Spirit of God, for they are foolishness to him; nor can he know [them], because they are spiritually discerned.
Pray for Azou to come to the saving knowledge of Jesus Christ . . . before it's too late.

Being dead for three days isn't the same as being tortured for eternity. Jesus must have been paying some other species' price.
Azou - I'm not really sure about your comment, but Jesus' shed blood on the cross was the payment for your sins (and everyones). He was perfect, without sin, the sinless Lamb of God - fully God and fully man. You choose. Do you want to pay for your sins or surrender and allow Him to pay. Repent (turn from your sins) and turn toward God - put your faith in what He did at that cross 2000 years ago. Read the book of John.
Actually, to be more accurate, Jesus would have been crucified about 1,978 years ago.
Our price is eternity in Hell. To make the "paid your fine" analogy accurate, Jesus would have had to go to Hell in our stead. He did not.
