Spoiler: Keyes lost

And for the exact reason Obama gave. They were running for the Senate, not minister of the state.

Please tell me you're not one of the loons thinking Obama is a secret Muslim.

This was really great! Thanks for posting this Trish! Go Keyes! :-)

Go Keyes what? This is a six-year-old video from a debate for an election that Keyes LOST. I wouldn't expect some dramatic Keyes victory in the political arena to come about any time soon.

Not to mention he kicked his daughter out at only 19 because of her coming out. Family values!

Azou, how much proof do you need to prove to you Obama is either a Muslim or at the very least an apologist for Islam? The Bible tells us we can know someone by the fruit they show and so far Obama's fruit point to him being a Muslim.

Point to the evidence, Nelson. So far as I can tell, the man was in a Christian Church for a good many years, and I've seen nothing to suggest he's Muslim.

An apologist for Islam? Seriously? Obama might defend the religion when applicable (the center in New York), but that's hardly being an apologist.

What does Obama need to do? Erect a theocracy for your ilk?

President Obama-"If I had the opportunity to talk to Jesus Christ, I'd be asking something much more important than this senate race....I would want to know whether I was going up, or down...".

Mr. President, you do have the opportunity to speak to Him...what you lack is the humility which, in itself, answers the "up or down" question.

Bravo Mr. Keyes!

Thank God for a politician who is willing to speak frankly and openly about his faith in spite of whether it means he wins or loses. As he so rightly points out, our faith is an integral and shaping core of who we are or it is meaningless. And the idea that a person losing an electoral race in itself proves or disproves the truth of what he has said, or even whether or not he would truly be the best candidate, is shallow indeed. It probably says more about the electorate than the candidate. Nice job Mr. Keyes.

If the President's 'Christian Faith' is so important to him, why would he need to ask Jesus if he's going 'up or down'? Wouldn't he already know the answer to that question if he was actually a Christ-following, Bible-believing Christian? Speaks volumes.

I was astounded at how outspoken Keyes was. Thanks for sharing this; I'd never seen it.

Thank you so much for posting this. I'm glad to have found you, Trish. It has been a blessing to read through your blog. If I repost this from Youtube, I'll link back here.

Azou~ I realize you don't believe in Obama's muslim-apologist-antics & require 'proof.' Why not come by my blog & do a search for "Obama Muslim." You'll find the 'proof' you so blindly cannot see on your own.

Pastor Phil~ "the idea that a person losing an electoral race in itself proves or disproves the truth of what he has said...is shallow indeed. It probably says more about the electorate than the candidate."
Exactly. Well said, Pastor Phil.
