Genesis and Isaac

Genesis was on Hour 1 of the Way of the Master Radio.
Check out what's on her wrist...
I witnessed to these two guys while she was on the air.

She seemed very open to the gospel afterwards.
Isaac was sitting on a bench under a tree just people watching
and thinking deep thoughts when I found him.
Hour 2 we put Isaac on the air.
You can listen to both segments on The Way of the Master Radio here:

The Way of the Master Season 4...it's never too early to be informed!

The other day I was thinking about how it's been a little over a year since I started my blog, launched the Fish with Trish website and returned to the U.S. from filming 13 countries in 13 days in Europe with Ray Comfort and others for The Way of the Master Season 4. Amazing things happened on that trip. You can visit our travel blog here.

By now most of you have heard about or have seen The Way of the Master Season 3, and you'll be excited to know that the The Way of the Master Season 4 will be released some time next year. You can receive updates by visiting: http://www.wayofthemaster4.com/.

Read About An Idea That You Can Do! Plus Enter to Win a Free Copy (Autographed by Kirk Cameron) of "The Love Dare" as seen in the movie FIREPROOF.

Before we get to the drawing for the autographed copy of The Love Dare, I'd like to tell you about an idea that Emilio and I came up with.

We live in a community that has a Home Owners Association (HOA) and we're on the email list--it's sent to everyone in our community when an event arises. That means we have all their emails. So, we came up with an idea that we want to share with you and if you feel lead, perhaps this is something you can do too.

Just minutes ago, we sent out an email to everyone on our HOA email list (it sort of made me nervous when I hit the "send" button--but I'm excited to see what happens) and below is the email we composed. If you like the idea, all you have to do is copy and paste the text of the letter and put your community in the slot. You could do this for friends and family too (or anyone you haven't told about the movie). We choose our neighbors. Here's the email:

"Hi Everyone!

We are residents of (Your Community Name Goes Here) and want to tell you about an opportunity we’re proposing for all the residents of (Your Community Name Goes Here)! Perhaps some of you saw Kirk Cameron (from "Growing Pains") on Dr. Phil recently talking about his new movie FIREPROOF.

We saw FIREPROOF the other night and thoroughly enjoyed it and feel that every marriage in America could use a dose of this film. So we are offering 2 FREE MOVIE TICKETS to the 17th person to respond to this email! If you are the 17th person, you will win 2 free movie tickets to go see FIREPROOF with your SPOUSE on the night of your choice. FIREPROOF is a must watch film and it's playing in town now! But you don't have to be married to see this film, whether single or married, if you're the 17th person to email, you will win 2 tickets to the movie either way.

Listen to what others are saying about FIREPROOF:

"FIREPROOF is a gripping and powerful story. Its surprising twists and turns make for a great plot with a simple, but powerful message. I loved it and you will too!" Mike Huckabee

"I've spent my entire life trying to win in two different pro sports. What I appreciate about FIREPROOF is that it's an entertaining and challenging reminder of what it takes to win in marriage! FIREPROOF is a great illustration that apart from Christ, relationships are doomed to fail. I'm so appreciative that the folks at Provident Films have stepped out and made a movie that will inspire husbands and wives to submit their marriages to the Lord and to stand up and fight for a battle worth winning." Joe Gibbs - Owner, Joe Gibbs Racing, NFL Hall of Fame Coach

Did you know that The Love Dare, originally a plot device, has become the No. 1 bestseller on the New York Times list of paperback advice books!

If you haven't heard of FIREPROOF until now, please visit http://www.fireproofthemovie.com/ to find out about the movie and here is a link to the theatres in town where it's playing: http://www.fireproofthemovie.com/theaters/

All you have to do is be the 17th person to respond!

Have a great week.

Mr. and Mrs. Ramos "

So that's the email, and if you decide to use it and make sure you sign it with your name and not ours. :-)

We've put the "17th" person because our community is fairly small (we have about 90 emails on our list, but you can change that number to anything you would like). Then, when the 17th person responds back to you, follow up with an email and work out the details with them).

Pretty simple. I've never done anything like this before so we we'll see what happens but I got to thinking about it and all it costs us is $19.00 and we blessed a couple in our community AND were able to send out an email to all the other residents. And if worse comes to worse and no one responds, then at least we got the word out and maybe some one will go see it on their own and hear the Gospel message...it's a win win situation!

Now for the drawing...

To Enter the Drawing to Win an Copy (autographed by Kirk) of "The Love Dare" Book as Seen in FIREPROOF, Here's What You Should Do: Leave a comment below with your name and some way for me to contact you if you win (email or blog link is fine--as long as there's an email address attached to the blog link). If you aren't able to leave a comment send your entry to email [at] fishwithtrish.com. Comments will be opened through next Monday and a winner will be randomly chosen next Tuesday. A new one-liner for handing out the Million Dollar Bill Tract...

It's a small image, but apparently during a protect of Wall Street recently, someone was using a Living Waters Million Dollar Bill Tract as part of the protest. Dennis Cain found this image was on the front page of CNBC.com, Saturday morning, October 18. The bill is one of the early versions I think.

Here's a new one-liner that someone emailed the ministry:

"We were recently handing "million dollar bill" tracts out at a local event and came up with the idea of saying "here's your government bailout money" OR "did you get your bailout money yet?" and people were very receptive and LOVED IT!" Nate

A chair for all the book worms out there...

Meet Charlie...

Charlie was on The Way of the Master Radio Monday.

Charlie talks with Ray Comfort...
and then Ray looses the connection right
in the middle of the witnessing encounter
but Todd Friel jumps in and takes over... :-)

Charlie didn't seem very open to the Gospel at all
but after he got off the air he opened up
and was willing to listen, learn and humble himself.

Charlie, if you're reading this,
Emilio and I urge you not to wait another minute...
repent from your sins and trust in Christ
to save you from Hell. Thank you for listening to
us the other day it was great talking to you.

You can listen to the program here:
It starts about 40 minutes into the program.

A long awaited email!

Just the other day I was praying that I could see more fruit in my evangelism and then Justice emailed me! Remember this young man (below)? He was on The Way of the Master Radio back in February and told Emilio, Cameron and I that he's been "looking for God"....that was a day I never forgot...

...Well, after almost 8 months time, he emailed Fish with Trish last night and said: "I would like to know what church it is that yall go to. I want to start going. I didn't realize it until later that night what a true blessing it was talking to you."

Thought you all would be encouraged by this update. When I got the email I could hardly believe my eyes!... I immediately ran into my husband's office and told him the news... and within seconds I was in tears...Glory be to God!

Not open to the Gospel at all...

Isaac was on Hour 2 of The Way of the Master Radio yesterdayHe wasn't open to the Gospel at all...

...at least it seemed that way during
the follow-up after the radio program.
Emilio and I pleaded with him for a while and
answered different questions that he had.
Then Emilio asked Isaac,
"Do you even care about what we're saying...
do you care about whether what we are saying is true or not?"

And Isaac answered, "Nope!"
At that point Emilio extended his hand out to
shake Isaac's hand and said, "Thanks for your time...
I hope you consider all you heard today."
And we left. You can listen to the program here:

It starts about 20 minutes into the program.

Sacrificing Infants on the Altar of Choice...Why I Will Never Vote For a Murderer!

I was impacted recently by a post in Ray Comfort's blog and since Ray says everything better than I ever could, I thought I'd give you a small portion of it.

I echo his post completely!

Here's a snippet:

".... I would never, ever, vote for a man who advocated the murder of a child in the womb. I don't care about his fiscal policies, because the blood of the innocents is on his hands. ...the answer to the issue of abortion isn’t just to protest, although that's a start. A nation that kills 50 million of its citizens through abortion with no qualms of conscience needs more than a voice of protest. We are no different than Nazi Germany. We have given ourselves to the wickedest of sins, and that will eventually have terrible national consequences. We desperately need God’s forgiveness, and we need a new heart that can only come with conversion. Only the gospel can take a self-righteous, blaspheming, idolatrous, hypocritical, baby-killing nation, forgive it, and make it brand new: "Then I will sprinkle clean water on you, and you shall be clean; I will cleanse you from all your filthiness and from all your idols. I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; I will take the heart of stone out of your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. I will put My Spirit within you and cause you to walk in My statutes, and you will keep My judgments and do them" (Ezekiel 36:25-27)."

Then Ray continues in a separate article but with more detail on the same subject:

"...It’s time for us to put legs to our prayers and do what we have been told to do, and that’s going to take faithful laborers. The Scriptures ask, “How will they hear without a preacher?” Saint Francis of Assisi’s “Preach the gospel. If necessary use words,” doesn’t cut it any longer (it has been well-said, “That’s like saying, Wash yourself. If necessary use water”). We have to open our mouths for the world to hear. The time for excuses has gone. We live in desperate times and we need to have clear and certain sound to take us into the heat of battle. We have to overcome our evangelophobia."

If you can't speak, perhaps you would consider giving a DVD called “The Divine Butler” to your neighbors, coworkers, and loved ones, and let it do the speaking for you. It's one of the episodes of Season 3 of The Way of the Master's award-winning TV program, and it is extremely timely for what is happening to our country. I watched it the other night with Emilio and thought it was very well done! Click HERE for details!

Enter to Win a FREE Copy of C.J. Mahaney's "The Cross Centered Life"!

At Sovereign Joy Community Church we have a book table filled with all sorts of solid books to encourage our members. This is one of those books. I've been wanting to read it for some time now and on Friday night after our church service a few different people told me "it's a must read".

Then Daniel, a young man who attends Sovereign Joy, walked over to me opened the little orange book to a specific page and said, "Read page 18." He pointed to where I should start and stop.

After I read what you're about to read, I bought a copy from our book table. Here's what I'm going to attempt to do...I'll read it on the plane ride to Atlanta for Deeper and the plane ride back home (this should give me plenty of time...it's a small book--85 pages). Then when I return, we'll do the drawing and the book will go home with one of you!

Now for the portion that I read, starting at page 18:

"On Monday, Alice bought a parrot. It didn't talk, so the next day she returned to the pet store.

"He needs a ladder," she was told. She bought the ladder, but another day passed and the parrot still didn't say a word.

"How about a swing?" the clerk suggested.

So Alice bought a swing. The next day, a mirror. The next day, a miniature plastic tree. The next day, a shiny parrot toy. On Sunday morning, Alice was standing outside the pet store when it opened. She had the parrot cage in her hand and tears in her eyes. Her parrot was dead.

"Did it ever say a word?" the store owner asked.

"Yes," Alice said through her sobs. "Right before he died, he looked at me and asked, 'Don't they sell any food at that pet store?' "

THE MATTER OF FIRST IMPORTANCE

Many good causes and activities can occupy a Christian's time and attention. But just as no amount of parrot-cage amenities can make up for a lack of parrot food, nothing can replace the gospel in the Christian's life. Without it our souls will become like Alice's pet--starving in a crowded cage. It's importatn to ask honestly what we're building our lives around. Before we can talk about how to live a cross centered life, we have to identify what our life is centered on right now. We're all living lives centered on something. But is it the right thing? So think about ithis for a moment. What is the main thing in your life?"

When I read this, I immediately thought it was a great analogy. It's so true. Just think about it, the Gospel should be an all consuming passion of ours, not only when we share our faith...but all the time! We should be thanking God for the Gospel day and night. Centering our lives on it.

When we rise and before we go to sleep--meditating on the goodness of God in the Gospel.
During good times and in dark seasons of our lives--rejoicing in our salvation.
When we eat and when we drink--savoring the glory of God and finding our satisfaction in Him.
The Gospel should be a "matter of first importance"!

To Enter the Drawing, Here's What You Should Do: Leave a comment below with your name and some way for me to contact you if you win (email or blog link is fine--as long as there's an email address attached to the blog link). If you aren't able to leave a comment send your entry to email@fishwithtrish.com. Comments will be opened through next Monday and a winner will be randomly chosen next Tuesday. Weep with those that weep...

Catherine was on The Way of the Master Radio today and was hurting deeply when I found her. She had expressed that her husband wanted a divorce and he broke the news to her last night! I had no idea that she would pour out her heart out on the radio...but she did...and it continued in to the commercial break and I watched her as tears streamed down her face beneath her black glasses.

After she handed me the phone, I went over and hugged her and said, "Oh Catherine...I'm so sorry for what you've gone through....I'm so sorry!"

She didn't want to let go of me...she just held me tight...and that broke my heart.

Emilio and I ministered to her for a long time and she was receptive.

Catharine was a precious soul that had been through a ton of suffering. Jesus said weep with those that weep. When people suffer and experience hardship in life, at times it's best just to listen and learn and then share the Gospel. Catharine could not deny the words of the disciples when they said, "Where will we go, You alone have the words of eternal life".

We explained that this is why Jesus said "...be of good cheer, I have overcome the world". We are never going to get through life and its various trials and tribulations looking to ourselves or to others; the only way to see our way through life is by identifying, or better yet, being identified with Christ.

As disturbing and distressing as the hardships of this life may be, we explained to her that they pale in comparison to the wrath of God which is coming upon all sons of disobedience, that is why we must look to Christ and not ourselves.

Christ offers us true relief, something Catharine is desperately looking for, but that is supremely displayed in our inheritance of eternal life, not necessarily in this life. Jesus, who suffered more than any other human that has ever lived provided the way to final and ultimate rest.

We let her pour out her heart and then we went over the law again and gave her the good news of how she could be forgiven once and for all.

You can listen to the segment HERE the program starts about 40 minutes into the program.
Then listen to the Hour 2 HERE--Todd does a great job of sheading light on her situation and suffering in general (a must listen to).

see how Lathaniel was doing, and this is what we saw!
He was on one phone listening to Ray Comfort
and on the other phone listening to a friend.

Very encouraging!

Yesterday, when I got back from West Virginia, I found two comments on my blog from Billy Dillinger who got saved after hearing Kirk and Ray open-air after FIREPROOF the movie...Billy explains what happened. You can read his (Billy4God) comments on this blog entry--very encouraging.

Kirk Cameron Open-Airs At His Own Movie!

I can hardly believe that Kirk Cameron open aired after his own movie (FIREPROOF) and I got to be there to see it, TONIGHT.

A group of us went to see the movie after the Transformed Conference in West Virginia. We were all eager to attend, even though we had already seen the movie, but Kirk and Ray Comfort had plans to preach the Gospel after the film and that's exactly what they did!

I think I cried more the second time around than the first time. It was probably because I was sitting next to Kirk's mom (Barbara Cameron) and she crying harder than I was...it was pretty contagious.

Once the film ended, Kirk and Ray walked up to the front of the movie and as the lights came on Kirk began to speak. You could hear gasps in the audience. Ladies were covering their mouths all around the theater. It was almost surreal that the very actor that they were watching on the movie screen for the past two hours was standing in front of them in living color!

Many of the staff of Living Waters were shocked, even through we were in on the plan, it was unreal for us so we were eager to see the crowds reaction. The individuals were glued listening to every word as Kirk and Ray spoke.

Kirk revealed one of the great secrets of the movie, that he didn't kiss the actress but instead kissed his wife that flew in, especially for the scene.

Then Ray stood up and preached the law and the Gospel and everyone in the audience cheered, including us.

What a wonderful end to an already great day at Transformed!

What ever happened to worship??!!

This came in my mail the other day...
