Why can't God heal amputees?
"Why didn't God just re-attach the limb and eye? Moreover, why didn't God just prevent the accident in the first place. Why can't God heal amputees? J.E. Hill"
Thank you for writing, J.E. God does all things after the counsel of His eternal and immutable will. They asked Jesus the same question, 'Why can't He just deliver himself off that cross and ease His suffering?' Also, the Devil proposed the same sort of questioning when Jesus was fasting, 'Why doesn't God feed you or keep you from dying if you throw yourself of a cliff?'. So it sounds to me like you are in similar company with the Devil and those that hated Jesus Christ. The simple answer is that God only heals when it is according to His divine purposes.
"God will rid the creation of all evil, suffering, pain, tears, and defects. We call that the 'church triumphant' when God will crush all of His enemies under His feet. Scripture does not promise us health, wealth, and prosperity. We are for now 'the church militant' called to endure trials and tribulations, physical suffering is but one aspect of the human suffering which God has ordained for man: "Through many tribulations we must enter the kingdom of God." Atheist Watchdogs Awaken the Church
LOS ANGELES, Dec. 13, 2011 /Christian Newswire/ -- After reading of an atheist group's demand that Athens, Texas remove a nativity scene from the corner of their courthouse lawn, evangelist Ray Comfort spent some time on the atheists' website reading of their many exploits. Comfort said, "Freedom From Religion Foundation see themselves as moral watchdogs. Among many other suits, they filed a Federal lawsuit against the Town of Whiteville, Tenn., and its mayor, James Bellar, 'to force him to remove crosses on the Whiteville water tower.' One of their news releases states 'An unauthorized Latin cross suddenly appearing at Camp Pendleton must come down, says a national state/church watchdog.'"
Comfort recently created www.180movie.com which has had over 1.8 million YouTube views. He said, "'180' is getting the gospel to the unsaved and at the same time inspiring Christians to share their faith. So I made contact with Pastor Lorick, who is standing up against these atheists (along with 73 other area pastors), offered to give free '180 Courses' to the area churches, and also offered to send in teams to evangelize the area. The pastor loved the idea and was delighted that we wanted to help."
Comfort said that any time Freedom From Religion Foundation try and remove crosses, nativity scenes, etc., he will make some calls. "Whenever they try and bully people with their anti-God agenda, we will make that place ground-zero for an evangelistic campaign. The majority of Americans believe in God, and many of them have had enough of intolerance towards the things of God. Atheists may use the law to make a mayor remove a cross from a water tower, but we will then make it our business to take the cross to thousands."
The best-selling author has already shown that he has the means that can make things happen. "We have faithful workers across the country who gave away 180,000 '180' DVD's in 100 universities, in one day. Those who would like to be involved merely need only join our 180 movie Facebook page, and we will keep them informed of our agenda. We're excited to see when the Freedom From Religion Foundation will make their next move."

A song I played at least 8 times tonight...
Thanks to everyone who has commented on my posts, sent me emails and encouraged me to press on and keep running the race. You've blessed me more than you know.
Below is a clip from a song I've listened to at least 10 times tonight as I cleaned the kitchen after dinner. It makes me joyful and I couldn't help but replay it over and over.
God bless you this new year with things that bring Him the most Glory.
I pray this song makes your heart sing like it did mine:

'Christian' Leaders Leaning Towards Atheism
Contact: Trisha Ramos, Living Waters Publications, 800-437-1893
OPINION, Dec. 6, 2010 /Christian Newswire/ -- Ray Comfort submits the following and is available for comment:
After seven seasons as host of Canada's "most listened to spiritual talk show," Drew Marshall announced to his listeners that he is no longer convinced there's a God.(1) ABC News recently reported that a Southern Baptist pastor has become a closet atheist,(2) and an evangelical Bible Belt pastor said that he had been living a lie and confessed, "I live out my life as if there is no God."(3)
The doubting talk show host said that he became a follower of Christ in 1981. But it wasn't until recently that he verbalized that he wasn't convinced that God existed, saying "I feel pretty close to walking away from my faith."(4)
I have to confess that I too have been having doubts. I've been living in the same house for more than 15 years, and I have secretly doubted if there was a builder. I know it's beautifully made, with walls, carpet, doors, cupboards, windows, rooms, lighting, air-conditioning, a floor, an intricate electrical system, a fireplace and a roof, but it's only recently that I have actually verbalized that I'm not convinced that there was a builder.
You would have to question my sanity if I really believed, let alone said such a thing. It is a scientific impossibility for a building to build itself (even the Bible says "... "Every house is built by someone…"(5)), and it is a scientific impossibility for creation to create itself. The amazing creation that surrounds us is 100% scientific proof that there is a Creator--"For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made…"(6) That's why the Scriptures rightly call anyone who doubts the existence of God, a "fool" (see Psalm 14:1, Romans 1:21). Atheism is an undiagnosed form of insanity. No wonder Isaac Newton called it "senseless."
But the talk show host's problem is bigger than himself, and it's deeper than his nagging doubt. We have millions of people within the contemporary Church who have been convinced intellectually of the existence of God, but they've never been converted experientially by the power of God. So when someone comes along with what they perceive to be a more convincing argument, they begin to doubt their salvation. And so they should--because they are not saved. They are false converts; something Scripture refers to as "goats among the sheep", "tares among the wheat", "bad fish among the good."
False converts aren't the genuine article. They are pretenders that sit among God's people. This should come as no surprise to the skeptics. They have always said that the Church is "filled with hypocrites." And there the pretenders will remain, right up until Judgment Day when God separates the genuine from the false.
Spurious converts don't experience the "power" of the gospel (see Romans 1:16). The message they heard didn't come to them "in power, in the Holy Spirit and in much assurance."(7) This is because the cross is the center of the gospel. It is the supreme expression of God's love to the sinner and there is a good reason it was obscured to them. The only way to see the love expressed in the cross is to see sin in its true light. And the only way to see our sin clearly, is to understand the moral Law. A cure is of little worth to a healthy person, and the cure of the cross is of little value to those who have never seen how deathly sick they are before a morally perfect God.
If we haven't personally seen the cross, then we haven't personally experienced the love of God. This is the tragic case of Drew Marshall, expressed in his own words:
"My reasons for feeling like 'jumping' are plenty. However, they would best be explained by the following illustration: 'Imagine a soldier at war, overseas for 30 years. Each week he would write at least one letter to his father back home. Each week he would expectantly wait for the one who supposedly loves him unconditionally, to write him back or phone or possibly even come for a visit. Any kind of personal interaction would do. He's heard through his friends and other soldiers just how much his father loves him, but those rumors of Glory aren't enough to sustain his faith in his father anymore.'"(8)
There's not been a day in the last 39 years since my conversion that I haven't basked in the sunshine of God's incredible love for me. I have never doubted it for a second. I would sooner doubt the love and faithfulness of my much-loved wife of 40 years, than I would doubt the love and faithfulness of God, so evidentially demonstrated in the blood of the cross.
If I don't believe in and trust my wife, I insult her integrity. I deem her to be devious. The Scriptures warn, "He that believes not God has made Him a liar,"(9) and "Take heed, brethren, lest there be in any of you an evil heart of unbelief, in departing from the living God."(10)
So my advice to pretenders in pulpits, is to go through the Ten Commandments (as expounded by Jesus in the Sermon on the Mount), and apply each one personally, with a tender conscience. Then get on your knees before a holy God and don't get up until you know Him whom knowing is eternal life (see John 17:3). This issue is more serious than a heart attack. It's the issue of your own eternal salvation, and the salvation of those you will lead astray with your unfaithful words.
If you want a deeper understanding as to why the Church is so filled with false converts, get a copy of the free book, "God Has a Wonderful Plan For Your Life--The myth of the modern message." Or you can read or listen to the book freely online at www.FreeWonderfulbook.com

Fort Worth T buses will feature ads with message refuting God

In fact, if you go to my website http://www.fishwithtrish.com/, Terry is the 3rd picture (from the left) on my header -he's the gentleman with the beard in the green shirt (the same shirt that he's wearing in this pic).
Well, he's back at it and has organized more campaign ads to go up on buses (see article below).
P.S. For all the atheists out there, we don't mind the least bit that you are posting these billboards/ads because they provide a wonderful springboard to talk about spiritual things, Heaven and Hell, death and the afterlife, and how one can be saved from God's wrath.
Oh and Terry, if by any chance you happen to be reading this, shoot me an email (email [at] fishwithtrish.com) my husband and I would love to meet with you again and take you out for a meal or for coffee.

Starting Wednesday, four buses operating in the Fort Worth area will be sporting large advertisements that tout an ungodly message.
The ads on the sides of the buses will proclaim: "Millions of Americans are Good Without God."
The words, which will run over an image of the American flag, aim to raise awareness that many people do not believe in God, according to Dallas-Fort Worth Coalition of Reason, the group that bought the ads.
"We're not trying to convert anybody," coordinator Terry McDonald said in a phone interview. "There's so much religion in this area, and it's so visible, we're just trying to let people who are not believers know that there's a lot of people like them."
The campaign is taking place in several cities nationwide. However, the ads won't appear on Dallas Area Rapid Transit buses because that agency refuses to accept them. DART also doesn't advertise alcoholic beverages, and accepts some but not all movie ads, spokesman Morgan Lyons said.
"For us, the point is to stay true to what we do -- we're a transit provider -- and not create a public forum," Lyons said. "We rejected the ads because we don't accept ads from religious groups."
The Fort Worth Transportation Authority, also known as the T, does accept religious ads.
"We try to be fair to all parties in accepting advertising, and we do not discriminate among faiths or beliefs," T spokeswoman Joan Hunter said. "They met the criteria. If we receive other requests from other faiths, we'll evaluate them as well."
She said the ads will appear on four buses for the next 30 days. The ads are called "king boards," and cover the sides of the buses, she said. The total cost of printing the ads and buying the space on the buses is about $2,480, she said.
The Dallas-Fort Worth Coalition of Reason includes 15 agencies of various goals and beliefs, McDonald said. For example, one of the groups is Metroplex Atheists, which has several hundred members that actively campaign on issues such as separation of church and state. Metroplex Atheists recently protested a pre-meeting prayer traditionally held by the city council in North Richland Hills, McDonald said.
Other agencies involved in the coalition are based at colleges, or are primarily for social interaction, he said.
There is no political agenda behind the bus campaign, McDonald said, other than to let the public know the groups are out there.

Atheists Ignore Richard Dawkin's Advice

Photo: Richard Dawkins telling students to ignore Origin of Species, at the Cooper Union for the Advancement of Science and Art, New York City.
During this past week, Dawkins has been speaking in five U.S. universities, and Comfort made sure that books were given away at every meeting. Comfort said, "In New York City, after the professor held up a copy of the book and told students to ignore it, students ignored him, and a thousand of them took books. The problem with any message is getting it to the people you want to reach. We have been able to get the book directly into the hands of thousands of atheists throughout the country. I was so delighted that the professor had pulled them all together for us, that I sent him a gift basket and a thank you note."
He says, "It doesn't worry me that he is laughing all the way to the bank as he peddles his little atheist trinkets, or sells his anti-God T-shirts and books to believers. What concerns me is that he does it under the guise of science and intellectualism. He believes that nothing created everything -- something that is totally unscientific, that we may have been created by aliens, that we are cousins of bananas. His latest book says that Einstein was an atheist, when he wasn't. Einstein warned about devious atheists when he said 'In view of such harmony in the cosmos which I, with my limited human mind, am able to recognize, there are yet people who say there is no God. But what makes me really angry is that they quote me for support of such views.' Deceitfulness is nothing new for atheists. One popular poster shows pictures of eight icons of history, saying that they were all atheists. In truth, only one of those eight great men was an atheist, and he committed suicide after a miserable life as an alcoholic." bligbi.com/2008/09/08/atheism-good-enough-for-these-idiots/
Comfort added, "Dawkin's promotional literature, says 'science can provide the answers to many of the questions life on earth poses; questions previously considered better addressed by spiritual authorities.' That's just not true. Evolution believers haven't a clue where we came from, what we are doing here, or where we go after we die. To look to professor Dawkins for answers to life's big questions, is like looking to a blind man for advice about what color you should paint your house."

How do you know that what's in the Bible is the truth?
But how do you know that in itself isn't a lie? Is God obliged to tell you the truth? After all, you're his creation and He can do with you as He pleases, right?" -- Taxandrian
Tax, I do not expect you to accept that our presuppositions regarding God and Scripture are true, that would be going against Scripture's teaching itself (1 Cor. 2.14). Instead, we consistently maintain that the things we are saying about God and Scripture are true despite what others choose to believe. We have argued from the impossibility of the contrary, it is not possible that God has not revealed Himself in Scripture. So for us, there could be no greater proof than that, the impossibility of the contrary. We argue that without presupposing Christian theistic knowledge (Biblical epistemology) your question, and truth itself would be unintelligible having no rational basis for meaningful predication concerning human experience at all.
We simply argue that the God of Scripture alone can provide the necessary preconditions of rational discourse and thus predication on reality itself, anything else would be self refuting and untenable philosophically speaking. God and His revelation are the necessary preconditions to all things logical, moral, and philosophical. This is called an infinite reference point. Anything less ends in infinite regress. God, like the laws of logic, must be presupposed to be denied, thus, attempting to deny Him is actually proving His exists as the basis of the denial in the first place.
So too if you attempt to deny the laws of logic you must operate within them to make such an illogical assertion to begin with, again you end in an infinite regress. God alone provides the necessary preconditions for rational logical discourse at all, God is the reason why your questions and objections (though untenable and untrue) can make sense in the first place. Logic works because they reflect the logical thinking of God Himself, in essence, God gives logic their law-like character. If you say there are no ultimate governing laws of logic which are universal abstract and invariant (i.e. fixed) than you are asserting the irrational nature of your own discourse and thus we can all go home. This may help,
Romans 1:18–23
18 For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men who suppress the truth in unrighteousness, 19 because that which is known about God is evident within them; for God made it evident to them. 20 For since the creation of the world His invisible attributes, His eternal power and divine nature, have been clearly seen, being understood through what has been made, so that they are without excuse. 21 For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. 22 Professing to be wise, they became fools, 23 and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures.
Please repent and trust in Christ in whom are hidden all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge.
Sincerely,
Emilio Ramos

Stephen Hawking Breaks Atheist Rules
MEDIA ADVISORY, Sept. 2 /Christian Newswire/ -- According to professor Stephen Hawking, God didn't create the universe. Instead, nothing created everything. However, according to the author of the book, Nothing Created Everything -- the scientific impossibility of atheistic evolution, Stephen Hawking has violated the basic laws of science. Ray Comfort created an international storm of angry protest from the atheist community in 2009, when he gave away 170,000 copies of Charles Darwin's On Origin of Species to 170,000 students at 100 of the top universities in the United States, as well as universities in England, Australia and New Zealand. The book contained a 50-page Foreword, in which Comfort gave the case for creationism.
An extract of Hawking's latest book, The Grand Design, was published in Eureka magazine in The Times, in which the professor said: "Because there is a law such as gravity, the Universe can and will create itself from nothing. Spontaneous creation is the reason there is something rather than nothing, why the Universe exists, why we exist." Comfort, said, "It is embarrassingly unscientific to speak of anything creating itself from nothing. Common sense says that if something possessed the ability to create itself from nothing, then that something wasn't nothing, it was something -- a very intelligent creative power of some sort."
The best-selling author and TV co-host, added, "Hawking has violated the unspoken rules of atheism. He isn't supposed to use words like 'create' or even 'made.' They necessitate a Creator and a Maker. Neither are you supposed to let out that the essence of atheism is to believe that nothing created everything, because it's unthinking. It confirms the title of another book I wrote, called, You Can Lead an Atheist to Evidence, but You Can't Make Him Think. Nor should an atheist speak of gravity as being a 'law,' because that also denotes the axiom of a Law-giver. Laws don't happen by themselves. But look at how careless the professor was, with his, 'The Big Bang was the result of the inevitable laws of physics and did not need God to spark the creation of the Universe.'"
It seems that Professor Hawking has changed his mind about the need for God. Back in 1988, in his book A Brief History of Time, he said, "If we discover a complete theory, it would be the ultimate triumph of human reason -- for then we should know the mind of God." Einstein said that he wanted to know the mind of God. Comfort maintains, "Both men can easily find the mind of God and through it see how we were created -- 'In the beginning, God created the heavens and the earth' something of which we were reminded when the first manned mission to moon read from Genesis chapter one. We need to read it again."
Comfort is writing a series of books on men who, for good or evil, changed the course of history, and what they believed about God. It will include Einstein, Hitler, Churchill, Ghandi and The Beatles. He said, "This generation is having an atheist revival, because they have been fed the lie that atheism is intelligent when it's obviously not. We are hoping that this series of books will give them the perspective they are missing. No doubt there will be opposition to the series because atheists are afraid of their core beliefs being exposed. That's why they tried to stop us giving out Darwin's book, and flooded Amazon.com and gave my books low reviews. No one likes to be seen as a fool, but that's what they are." An atheist makes a way for the Gospel to be heard

On Thursday, Jon preached for the last time on the Sovereignty of God and how God is Sovereign even when He allows the UNT administration to change their free speech policy so that open-air preachers cannot come on campus without a sponsoring student organization.
After he finished, a young atheist man named Stewart who they have witnessed to several times and who was on Wretched Radio with me in February of this year (you might remember him from my "Stewart has a problem" video) asked Jon about what he was saying with regard to the free speech policy. Jon explained as Stewart listened, "The Dean of Students office will not allow us back on the campus without student group sponsorship and that most Christian student groups don’t like to be aligned with open-air preaching (or any evangelism for that matter)".
Stewart left, made a phone call, and came back and said that he has a secular student organization that would be willing to sponsor Jon and Tim's ministry and that he would be willing to be the contact person backing them. He gave them his phone number and the authorization to put the student organization name on the application!
I was so filled with joy when I heard this!
In other words, an atheist is helping Christians so that they can continue to preach at UNT!
Stewart told Jon, "I don’t agree with your message, but I hate to see anyone’s right to free speech taken away. You have the right to be heard."
Isn't this wonderful!
In Jon's words, "Our Sovereign God is able to use atheists to keep the gospel coming to UNT."

Two atheists agree to meet for ice-cream
I tried to take better pictures of him but the minute I handed him the phone, to talk with Todd, he began walking very quickly back and forth on the University North Texas campus.
Here's another attempt to take a pic of him but it turned out a bit blurry.
Caleb thank you for being on the air with Todd on Wednesday - it really means a lot that you'd take the time to do this. Justin, if you're reading this...thank you for taking the time to listen to me share the Gospel with you. I know that it sounded like foolishness to you...but like I said, God uses the foolishness of preaching to save people from their sins. If you're both reading this, you still have time to be reconciled to God. Don't wait another minute. Please consider the words of Jesus Christ (John 14:6). I'm looking forward to hearing from you guys to set up another time to meet and bring some friends too. Please feel free to leave a comment below.

The Back of the Doggit Tract Revealed
With the help of my friend, Paul Taylor (Senior Speaker / Head of Media) with Answers in Genesis in Europe I've come to the finalize the text that will appear on the back of the tract. This is what it will read:
“If you guessed ‘Doggit’ (a mix between a dog and a rabbit) then you’re right! Evolutionists say that there must be transitional fossils, representing the evolution of one kind of animal into another, by incremental changes over millions of years. Although there appear to be transitional forms, showing the development of new species within kinds, this would be expected within a biblical worldview, where God made animals to reproduce according to their kind, but there are no fossils showing intermediates between two different kinds. Dogs developed from wolves, within the dog kind. They do not change into cats! What we can learn from fossils is that those creatures lived, were buried suddenly, and died. Have you ever wondered where you will go when you die? Judge yourself by the 10 Commandments to see if you are good enough to go to Heaven - Have you lied (even once), stolen (value is irrelevant), dishonored your parents? Those are just three of the 10 commandments and if you broke one, on Judgment Day you'll be found guilty and end up in Hell. But God made a way for you to be forgiven! Jesus Christ took the punishment sinners deserve for breaking God's Laws when He died on the cross, and then rose from the dead. If you repent and trust in Him, God will forgive your sins and grant you everlasting life. You may not have tomorrow. Please don't wait another minute to be reconciled to God.”
Finally, here's a few comments from Paul Taylor in his recent email to me - I thought you might be blessed by this, "I agree that the purpose of fossils is to speak about death and God’s judgment. Just as the Israelites were supposed to answer their children about the stones of witness, when they asked “what mean these stones?”, we need to tell our children what the fossils mean – that God ended His first world with a judgment of water, but sent an Ark of salvation. Similarly, there will be a Day of Judgment of fire, and we need Jesus, our Ark of Salvation, to fireproof us against the judgment to come."
I thank God for Paul and all our friends at Answers In Genesis. Thank you Paul for your assistance with this tract!

'Good Without God' Ad Campaign

Interesting comments
How can anything predate Christianity (e.g. Druid religion)? This is a historical and a theological fallacy. Christianity is the fulfillment (fullest expression, expansion, and revelation) of the religion of Adam (the head of the human race) who had communion with the triune God of Scripture. Was there a religion before Adam and Eve?
"Instead of becoming irate and saying mean things I would simply encourage that comments that refer to condeming others to hell out-right in a zealot manner you take a more comforting approach and promote beauty and peace and allow others to come to you with questions about hell and the afterlife, and when you explain your beliefs to others explain approach it as what you believe to be true not as a law or mandatory path that they must conform to."
The problem with your approach Tyler is that in watering down the message of "hell" you are actually being hateful. As one atheist said, 'if hell is real I would crawl on broken glass to warn people to repent'. That is like having prior knowledge of 9-11 and trying to impress people with the park down the street in hopes that they would rather take a walk in the park (enjoying the beauty and smelling the flowers) rather than hear the truth about the doom that is to come. Of course if you do not believe in the Bible and what it speaks about, it makes perfect sense that you would try to advise me in some unbiblical way. I will stick to inspired Scripture. Please, Tyler, repent and turn from your sins today and cling to Christ...while there is still time to escape the wrath of God.
