Don't try this at home...

I made pizza the other night and I was excited to use my
new pizza cutter. I'd guess you would call me a penny pincher...
I really don't like spending money...
unless I have to--so I broke down and bought a new pizza cutter. I was surprised when I had a hard time slicing it.
I probably tried cutting the pizza five different times and ways...
then I noticed that it felt awfully thick...
That's when it dawned on me that I had left the
cardboard underneath...I cooked it that way too. :-)
I must have been pretty hungry to throw the pizza
in the oven with the cardboard under it. Maybe I should
just stick to witnessing. :-)

I did the same thing two weeks ago, I couldn't figure out why the pizza was cooking so slowly...

At least it proves the cutter works well! ;)

Hey, don't worry, just climb back on your pizza horse and try again.

Great Trish, how did it taste? LOL
That made me think of a time I put everything together just right to cook something and then after awhile of me waiting, waiting and waiting for the bell to go off, I check it and notice I forgot to turn on the oven LOL.

Trish,

At least if someone would've said your pizza tastes like cardboard, it wouldn't have been an insult...only the truth. I guarantee you, you aren't the Lone Ranger in the Cooking Mistakes Dept. If good cooking skills were a requirement for entrance into Heaven, I'd be doomed!

Haha! That was funny! The other day my son was at home (a blessing!) and he dropped the pizza when checking it in the oven. Thanfully it fell on the oven door. He scooped it up and put it all together in the little broiler oven--it was actually quite good that way!

Hi Trish,
you get bonus points for at least taking the plastic off of the pizza first!!

You know, many people carry around that extra cardboard (a shield, a wall) that they have put up. It is the Law of God that will break that wall down. Of course we know that wood, stubble and hay will all be burned up on that Last Day, and yes, even cardboard!

I'm releaved Trish! I was afraid you had sliced more than the pizza but had a good witness encounter with the ER doc that sewed up your finger! LOL

I should have included about the time I almost burned off my eye lashes. I opened up the oven and my face was too close to the door and a gust of heat rushed out towards my face and I almost felt my eye lashes sizzle...it must be all the mascara I wear. :-)

I'm still giggling over your pizza cutter...heehee...too funny. Kind of reminds me of when I was dating this guy from Namibia who had moved to my town for school. He invited me over for lunch...hot dogs. So he asked me to look in the pot to see if the hotdogs were ready. I lifted the lid, looked in and saw the hotdogs...cooking away...inside the plastic wrap. *Snicker* Of course, they had expanded inside the plastic and looked pretty disgusting. Good thing the package didn't explode.
