I had the doc check out my hands, too. They've been extremely dry and irritated. I think it's due to my constant cleaning and washing of dishes - I like to keep a tidy house and it's starting to show on my hands. Upon leaving, he gave me a summary and said "Your ear canal is irritated and you have an infection but I'll give you drops and you should be fine. Also, I'll prescribe cream for your hands". Nothing serious. That was good news.
My primary doc was not available but this new doctor was very patient and thorough with me. He smiled and seemed to appreciate it. Within 5 minutes his assistant came in and handed me a sheet that had the "patient instructions on it". I put it in my purse and later read it in the car. It said:

2. Use the cream twice a day and use Vaseline based hand lotion after bathing
3. Thanks for the message!
