Died with Tracts in Hand

This email came into Living Waters last week and Ray Comfort posted it in his newsletter today:

“My husband, Rev. Bryan Turner was hit and killed by a car 10 weeks ago as he was passing out flyers inviting neighborhood children to vacation Bible school. In his other hand, he was carrying tracts that he purchased from Living Waters. He started "The Extreme Evangelism Ministry" 5 years ago and at that time built "The Jesus Bus" out of an old school bus. He and my father converted the bus into a portable live stage that was used all over Florida and South Georgia. My husband was under your discipleship whether you knew it or not and he literally witnessed to thousands during his short 35 years. He has read close to every publication, watched every video, and purchased every tract that Living Waters has ever sold. I have the downstairs basement with loaded book shelves to prove it. Again, thank you for this ministry.” Joy Turner

An account has been set up to help the family. If you would like to contribute, you may send a check to: Bryan Turner Family Fund at Community First Credit Union, PO Box 2600, Jacksonville, FL 32232

God bless,
Ray

On the sidebar of my blog, I have a quote from Samuel Rutherford:

"Take as many to heaven with you as ye are able to draw. The more ye draw with you, ye shall be the welcomer yourself."

Bryan has now been welcomed home by his Lord. Imagine the joy when, among the hosts streaming through the "gates of pearl," Bryan sees those whom he has led to Christ__and they see him.

From earth's wide bounds, from ocean's farthest coast,
through gates of pearl streams in the countless host,
singing to Father, Son, and Holy Ghost, "Alleluia! Alleluia!"

(from the hymn, "For All the Saints." William Walsham How 1864)

Great quote from Samuel Rutherford.

I remember reading about Bryan and his bus a few years back. Very encouraged by his desire to reach kids.

Wow, 35 is really young. I hope his family can weather these incredibly dark, low points.

And you say christianity doesn't really hurt anyone..well, here you go.

A perfectly good dad and husband that Jesus failed to protect.

Now his wife and kids can continue their lives without him..

If he was at home being a dad and husband, he would still be around.

Not his fault, but religions fault clearly.

Twin-Daddy, what a desperate, heartless, vacuous remark. Will you fault the lack of religion for the street thug that murders for crack? Let's see if you're consistent in your "logic".

It's times like this that I'm glad I did not delete my PayPal account. God's people need to take care of each other.

Stormbringer that is very nice of you. I'm sure Joy Turner will be blessed by your giving.

I had some means, and believe Galatians 6.10.

Twin-Daddy, let's not tie strings to this man's corpse and use him as a puppet for atheism. It is incredibly exploitive and in poor taste.
