Me personally, I better like the fact that he was rescued.
WEM,
Agreed.
The voyeuristic nature of the News disturbs me sometimes, I have to say. Get him out of there and treat his injuries before sticking a microphone in his face!
I, too, am glad that this guy made it. Too bad about all those others who didn't make it- I guess they just didn't pray hard enough.
I appreciate the reminder that our lives are in God's hands.
Matt and Jon, I agree.

zilch, just saw your profile and that you're from Vienna, Austria. Very cool. I went there in 2007 to film for The Way of the Master TV program. It's a nice place.

I guess those other tens of thousands slipped out of God's hands when He grabbed this one guy?
Trish- if you're ever out this way again, drop me a line, and lunch is on me.
I'm not "from" Vienna, I've just been living here for the last twenty-seven years. I grew up near SF.
Vienna is a cool place in many ways, but in other ways it's just another big city. I do miss the US, but luckily, I usually manage to make it back once a year to visit family and friends.
cheers from cool Vienna, zilch
I know you know better, zilch ;)
I know you know better, zilch ;)
Is there an echo in here? ;)
Chris- you know me better? Are you insinuating that I would go Dutch with Trish?
You're invited as well, Chris. And Trish- bring your hubby too.
And it doesn't have to be in Vienna- I'll be in the Bay Area this summer. Drop me a line.
The news is reporting today that a 6.1 aftershock has occurred in Haiti. I feel so bad for these people and what they are going through, of which most of us cannot even imagine! It is so heartbreaking!
Zilch, thanks for the offer. What do you do in Vienna?
"It is so heartbreaking!"
I can bearly look at the pics of everything...but it is a good reminder not to take our lives for granted.

Trish- I'm an instrumentmaker. I mostly make bows for stringed instruments, but also build harps and lyres and such. My wife and I also do marionette shows here in my workshop.
What do you do? Are you a full-time evangelist?
"My wife and I also do marionette shows here in my workshop."
Nice.
I work for Living Waters (Ray Comfort's ministry) full time but its not really work for me...it's a blessing. I do all the "Fish With Trish" stuff on my own free time.
Take care.
I thinks it's interesting that the guy actually said "JESUS, my life is in Your hands". However, the media changed the title of the video clip to "God, my life is in Your hands." Isn't it funny how the world has no problem throwing God's name around, stating that, yes, they do believe in "God" but to so many people their belief in God is in reality a belief in another "god." This is why I believe it's SO important, when engaging in conversations about the Gospel with the lost, to clarify who they actually believe God is.
Many people claim to believe in God, however, when you begin to go deeper in regard to who He is and who Jesus is, you often times find out that they really don't believe in the God of the Bible.
All that just to say that I found it interesting that CNN labled the video piece "God, my life..." rather than what the man actually said "Jesus, my life..."
Lastly, I was GREATLY moved by this man's witness; thank you Trish for sharing! :)
It's amazing that these poor people of Haiti have the faith in their fellow man to help and stay alive below the rubble.
So sad that the first to leave this traumatic event were the missionaries. i do hope that the ones remaining in jail there will receive their fair judgement.
I'll make a Wish, Trish
