From our dear friend Justin Peters:
"Hey friends - I have an opportunity tonight to sit in on a taping of Hannity's America on FoxNews. I'm going to be able to visit with Sean for a while (not sure how long) and plan on at least giving him a copy of the WOTM book and CD of Hell's Best Kept Secret. The show will air (No, I won't be on it:) at 9 pm eastern. Keep this in your prayers as I hope to share the Gospel with him."

Is Sean Hannity going to allow himself to be waterboarded yet? I'm pretty sure he said he'd do it for charity and then never did it (I could be wrong though).
If he just pretends it's a really harsh Baptism, then maybe he'll be able to hold out more than 6 seconds...
Mancow did do it though, that was pretty brave of him, especially since he acknowledged that it was 'absolutely torture' straight afterward.
Any thoughts on waterboarding? Torture or not?
Cheers,
ExPatMatt
No thoughts on waterboarding, but I'm trying to come up with some "enhanced witnessing techniques"* to use with recalcitrant atheists.
* Example: The preaching of the 10 Commandments, fortified with Questions 96-152 of the Westminster Larger Catechism including the supporting scriptures.
Just to whet your appetite, here is answer # 96:
"The moral law is of use to unregenerate men, to awaken their consciences to flee from wrath to come, and to drive them to Christ; or upon their continuance in the estate and way of sin, to leave them inexcusable, and under the curse thereof."
Note: Enhanced witnessing techniques are best used by Christians who really love unsaved people and have a sincere desire for their salvation.

Hey Trish, speaking of Justin. I just sent his brief review of the "The Message" to a couple people & one of them took it upon themselves to put a link to it on Eugene Peterson's wikipedia page:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eugene_H._Peterson
Pretty cool, huh?
-Mike
Mike, that's great. Does Justin know??
Mike, I went to the link and am not sure where Justin's review is linked... Its been added already, right? Thanks! Caron
Wow! I can't wait to hear how it went! Chances are our brother J handed stuff out to anyone who was willing. Who knows? He could have told Bill O'Reilly about the REAL "No Spin Zone."
Matt - waterboarding chat on a evangelism site?
I hope you get that chance Justin!
Craig,
Nice redirect!
ExPatMatt,
Might be interested to know Mancow went to a Christian school here in the Kansas City area...probably wouldn't serve his image well to make that known. Just one of many reasons I don't put alot of stock into Christian schools.
Ha, someone tried to delete it from the wikipedia page. Have no fear, I updated it and added a new critques section.
I haven't sent it to Justin Yet, but I just added him on Facebook. Trish, please let him know if you talk to him.

Craig,
"Enhanced Witnessing Techniques" - I like that, funny stuff!
Wayne,
Well, I don't watch TV so it's the only thing I know about Sean Hannity (via some Youtube clips); just trying to contribute.
1611,
I don't know what your talking about or why you think it's relevant. Seriously, what does Mancow's schooling have to do with his opinion on torture?
Cheers all!
Hey Mike,
I think they "gotcha" again... I just went to the site and couldn't find it... Or maybe its me? I sent your comment off to Justin, however. Will be talking to him sometime today...
Caron, thanks for letting Justin know. I'll keep an eye on it, but it looks like it is still there:

Look at the bottom "Critiques" section.
Thanks, Mike! Found it! I was looking under "The Message" (which might be a good place to link it too) but not under the author...
From Justin Peters on Tuesday:
"Well, it was a great night at Fox News. I met Sean Hannity and gave him a copy of WOTM book and CD of Hell's Best Kept Secret. I was also able to give "Why Christianity?" tracts to Dick Morris, Bob Beckel, and radio host Dennis Prager. Prager and I talked for quite a while. He is an observant Jew and appreciates evangelicals but is not one. Pray that the seeds planted last night will be watered and grow."
No news on the w/boarding thing though, eh? Shame.
"Why Christianity?"
Is that the tract that says (essentially);
'If you assume that the Bible is the inerrant Word of God, which religion should you follow?'
That one always makes me chuckle.
