You've got to be kidding?!!!

Nope! No kidding here. It's reality.
Ads proclaiming, "Why believe in a god?
Just be good for goodness' sake,"

will appear on Washington, D.C., buses starting
next week and running through December.

What a great opener to sharing the gospel though!

"So, what do you think about these signs?"
"... and would you consider *yourself* to be a good person for goodness sake?"

:-)

This is fantastic! What a GREAT way to transition from the natural to the spiritual!

Think of it:

Christian on Bus (CoB): (To stranger) Hey, what do you think of that sign?

Stranger: Hmm, I don't know. Interesting I guess.

CoB: Do you believe in a God?

Stranger: I guess so. I'd like to think so.

CoB: It says "Just be good for goodness sake." Do you consider yourself to be a good person?

And then you're on your way!
Thank you American Humanist Association for putting up large icebreakers all over the city!!! :)

Mark and lovethelost, now that's my kind of thinking! :-)

Most kids know better than to listen to a skinny female Santa. On the adult end, it's definitely a door-opener.

Makes me wonder what would happen if we wanted to put the real reason for Christmas on a bus. We would probably catch all kinds of heat.

Hey Trish, didn't know if you heard or saw but there was an ad campaign response to this one! :) I read about it on a Catholic blogspot I frequent. A Catholic organization sponsored and helped raise enough money to run these response ads on buses, they say:
"Why Believe? Because I created you and I love you, for goodness sake. - GOD"
