Don't leave home without them...

If your dog is as lazy as mine, its good to take them on a walk. Emilio and I walk "Baby" our dog almost every day. Baby draws a lot of attention. People come up and say, "How cute...what type of dog is that?" Then I usually say something like, "She's a mix of some sort...we got her when we were living in CA." Then I will hand them a million dollar bill tract and say something to the effect of, "Thanks a million for the complement on my dog!"

Dog's are great conversation starters. If I'm out and about and see someone walking their dog (I love dogs), I'll go up to them and say, "You're dog is so cute...what kind is it?" They're delighted that I paid them a complement on their pet and are happy to respond. Then, I'll say, "Since I like your dog so much here's a million bucks for you to enjoy!" I smile and so do they. Then I add, "It's a gospel tract make sure you read the message on the back." And if I they have time, and aren't in a rush to leave, I'll share the Gospel with them one to one.

The next time you take your dog on a walk bring tracts with you. Did you know that Ray Comfort said that if you find him without a tract in public he will give you 1000 dollars? That's quite a price to pay to be caught without a tract! Then one day Ray was swimming with his grand children and one said, "I gotcha grandpa! You're swimming with out a tract...Ha!" And immediately he reached into the pocket of his swimming trunks and pulled out a wet tract that was completely in tact--he had laminated it!

It's obvious how valuable carrying tracts are to Ray. He won't leave home without them and if he does, the consequence is 1000 dollars. The next time you leave the house to go to the post office, walk the dog, take the kids to the park, etc. don't leave home without a good gospel tract. You just never know when you will need one. You can find good gospel tracts at Living Waters.

Trish,

I've found that people with dogs are some of the easiest people to give tracts out to. When I'm witnessing, I always go to people with dogs. People love their dogs and they appreciate it when others like their dogs too. This is easy for me since I'm a "dog guy." :)

So I always compliment their dog, ask them if it's okay to pet the dog, and when I leave I give them a tract and thank them for letting me pet their dog. I've never had anyone turn one down.

Regarding swimming... my wife and I just celebrated our 10th anniversary, so to celebrate we went to a water park (without the kids - no kiddie rides!!!) The one drawback was that since I was wearing a bathing suit and was wet, I couldn't carry gospel tracts. :(

I hadn't thought of laminating them!

I did give tracts to people on my way in and on my way out though, but while I was wet I couldn't figure out a way to keep them with me. Leave it to Ray to overcome such obstacles! :)

Another great idea for swimming evangelists is to simply put your tracts in a Ziploc snack or storage bag or purchase other waterproof "containers" that fit in your pocket!

Girls of course don't have any pockets to do this with, but we still can put them in the pockets of our coveralls or swim bag we carry...that's what I do!

Why didn't I think of that. I have Pug dogs and they certainly get attention. If I take them to the pet store people almost always approach. Trish, I just want you to know and I know you are probably too humble to accept this, but I really admire you. I try to see myself doing what you do...Do you still get nervous?

Hi Trish,
My business partner and I are vendors at the dog shows. We usually have a 10' x 30' booth. The first table up and the last table down is our Way of the Master table filled with tracts, DVDs, CDs, and Bibles. We have had so many opportunities to speak with people about the Lord using my 2 pound Yorkie. He always pulls a crowd over to the table, and of course, I stand right in front of that table! I've had people pray for us and what we are doing and I've had them run from us and crumple the money and throw it back on the table! (That guy got prayed for)! We are so thankful for the tracts and this wonderful way to share Jesus Christ with our fellow dog lovers. God will use you wherever you are and no matter what business you are in. We are all in the business of being Fisherman for Christ. Thanks Trish!

I am a forever fan of the Million Dollar Bill tracts. My wife and I were recently able to go to Cancun, Mexico for the first time so we took close to 200 Spanish bills with us and had a blast with them. One of the people at our hotel that we gave one to told us how to say "read the back" in Spanish.

Every time we went to eat I would just lay one on the table. They got noticed every time! Once, I went to the buffet and when I came back my wife was looking at me kinda funny cuz there was a crowd of servers around our table waiting for me to get back because I had all the other tracts in my pocket.

We passed out all the Spanish tracts and quite a few English tracts too.My favorite had to be the timeshare people that try to tackle you when you get off the plane and head to your taxi. They just forget what they had to say when faced with a Million bucks!lol

I thank God for the opportunity and blessing to pass out tracts and the way He provides us with them and folks like yall to work with us!I am so appreciative of the Gift He gave us and want so much to share Jesus with all I can.

Thank you for your encouragement Emilio and Trish and we love WOTM.Glad to have YALL in Texas!
